Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Although Machu Picchu is pretty fabulous by itself, treat yourself by adding on a few days to hike the Inca Trail. This classic Inca Trail trek lasts four days, concluding at Machu Picchu on the final day. While you’re in this region, be sure to visit some of the stunning sites in the Sacred Valley, which is the region that surrounds Cuzco, the former capital of the Incan Empire. Add on a few days to enjoy the charming town of Cuzco, and you can easily spend 10 days here.

Galapagos Island Hopping. Although the most common way to visit the Galapagos Islands is by taking a cruise, there is another option.
